About
On a quest of self discovery and emotional growth through the craft of cutting paper.
Anna Lunterova (1995) born in Slovakia spent the last 10 years growing into her adulthood in Denmark and now lives and creates in Copenhagen.
At 19, she left home for Aalborg where her discovery of self, beyond the impressions of who she should be from her parents and five siblings, began.
Compared to the mountainous motherland she left behind, she found the flatness of Denmark enchanting, simple and calming. The subtle living gave space to explore her own inner world and a different way beyond being the "good girl" back home.
The idea to cut paper arose in a mediation that whispered to her, "Anna, cut paper". Funnily enough, she had a scalpel at home from an impulsive purchase, so she decided to dedicate a four-day weekend to explore the truth of that murmur.
To her surprise, the poetic process of cutting paper was an integration of emotions and helped her unfold the shadows within her, transforming it into self-love. Soon, cutting paper became her therapy, a deep mediation and a portal into the spiritual world.
In 2023, Anna quit her full-time data scientist job and wholeheartedly committed to becoming an artist that was longing to be expressed within her.
